We went to Cloudlake for some time to ourselves after the Christmas madness and we discovered a beautiful hidden valley with the most amazing treats in store for us. Birds singing constantly, a rainforest on the property to walk through (escorted by Dudley, the most amazing dog, who made sure we got home safely). Gardens, a lake with ducks and fish (no...fishing is not allowed), even a campsite next to the cabin to enjoy an open fire while toasting marshmallows and enjoying a glass of red. The final touch was being able to see the amazing display of stars in the sky. We stayed at The Boathouse but there are two cabins on the property. Have a look at some of the photos. The cabin is wonderful and everything you could possibly need is provided. Reading through the guest book simply confirmed our view of this amazing place. more
