We stayed in one of the lodges and on entry were struck by the sickly smell of cleaning products that made it smell like a cheap motel. The room was musty and very outdated - I was expecting a simple room and wasn't looking for anything flashy, but the furnishings were old and tatty and very 80's, much like the... More

We stayed in one of the original rooms that are in a block near the common areas. The room was dusty, basic and not the romantic retreat we had hoped for. But at least we had our own toilet and shower as most rooms don't!!!! Yep! You read that right, most guests have to trudge all the way to a... More

We recently camped at Binna Burra and had an amazing time. The fact that it rained made the trip all the more better. The forest was full of life and many animals were active.I have read a lot of reviews on Binna Burra and think it is important to remember the history and reason for travelling to such a place.... My husband and I and our 4 year old daughter stayed at Binna Burra Mountain Lodge in September 2011. We found the lodge facilities to be very rustic and cosy - exactly what we were after! Most of the cabins were built in the 30's and 40's and it is a privilege to be able to stay in such unique... More

We recently took some friends from the UK to the Lodge. Having been there with other friends a couple of months ago, we decided that, while the place is tired and the food and overall approach very dated, we would at least be able to enjoy the experience without cooking. Unfortunately, the administrative staff took the opportunity to challenge us... More

Thank you for your review. It's a shame you won't be back due to an administrative mistake in presenting an unpaid bill from a previous visit. It was our fault in not presenting this to you on your stay 2 months ago and for this we apologise. With regards to the resort not changing, we have no excuses and have... More

I stayed at the Binna Burra Lodge, and I thoroghly enjoyed my time there. The place was beautiful, and there were gorgeous birds flying around everywhere. There was a guide there named Sam who took us ziplining, and looking for crazy nightlife, even spiders! The redneck pademelons, which are basically miniature kangaroos, were awesome. Decent food and fairly expensive rooms,... More

Last weekend my wife and I and two adult children stayed at Binna Burra in one of the on site Safari Tents. We had not been to Binna Burra for more than 10 years and we were pleased to see that all amenities and attractions were in excellent condition. We went on various walks, used the Flying Fox and took... More

We stayed here as part of doing "The Great Walk" and found it an excellent haven after a 6 hour walk in the pooring rain. They settled us into our room and showed us around their facilities. Both the lounge and library had log fires which were very comforting to two water logged hikers. Their open seating policy at dinner... More

We love Binna Burra, food great, accomadation good [even in cabins without en-suit] fantastic views over surounding mountains, interesting wild life including King Parrots. A bit cold in the evening in June but it is "winter!" More

Thank you for your wonderful feedback. Binna Burra provides a 'back to basics' experience in our eco-Lodge, with homely rooms & food, and a gateway to access beautiful Lamington National Park. Although chilly on a night time in June, its the best time of year to walk with clear blue skies, and in the evening you can relax in front... More

Booked an overnight stay in a Casuarina room with Dinner Bed and breakfast through Wotif. Check in was friendly, the room clean and tidy but pretty small. Bathroom facilities were shared and a bit like being in a campsite, but perfectly adequate. After all, we were there for bushwalking and what a wonderful place to be in. It is world... More

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Binna Burra and Lamington National Park. Our Casuarinas are the cheaper option of rooms as they do not have an en-suite,but most people (like yourself) are here not just for the rooms, but to experience walks & activities in this wonderful National Park. Cheese & biscuits in... More
