After travelling for many weeks and staying some pretty dodgey hotels/motels with very dodgey beds, we arrived in Queanbeyan, and at the Central Motel and Apartments, and we were greeted with a smile and a smooth check in. We are a party of nine, and sometimes there can be little problems. No problems here, and free wifi! My room was... More

The room stayed in was recently refurbished and overall ok. Some dated aspects such as the old stove which was dirty inside the oven and the kitchen table that looked like it was out of a pub. Nice renovated bathroom and comfortable bed. Like others commenting here I could hear quite clearly people moving around in the apartment above. Good... More

The motel is fine, really, but I have a room next to the lift. Whenever anyone goes up or down, it sounds like furniture is being moved around behind your head. The staff would have moved me, but I was too late in complaining, and housekeeping had left. I can deal with that, but if YOU don't want disturbed sleep... More

We met with a friendly and efficient staff at the check-in counter, we were asked if we would like fresh milk for our tea… very nice touch and much appreciated. Thumb up. Internet was not free, for $5 dollar I was given an instruction sheet with password and whoa la I can access the web for 24 hours. We were... More

I stayed at this motel on a work trip. The room had recently been renovated and everything was clean and modern. Staff were helpful and friendly. The only issue was the noise. A lot of guests were up late at night, or left very early in the morning, which meant that I had a very broken sleep both nights I... More

We have stayed at this motel on several occasions over the years, and always found it was free of traffic noise. We booked 2 rooms as one of our party was competing in the Canberra Half Ironman and needed an early start. The rooms are spacious, clean and recently refurbished. The facility is cheaper than Canberra and within walking distance... More

We stayed overnight at the Central motel this week, and were very pleased with the cleanliness of the whole motel. Looking from outside you would not think it a large place, but when you drive in, it is shaped as a big horseshoe with all the units facing inwards towards the pool. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the... More

We needed a place to stay for 4 days while waiting for temporary accommodation in Canberra. We tried to find a place within Canberra but the prices were outrageous. We chose this hotel based on the tripadvisor reviews! Our biggest tip: call the hotel for the best price. We called to ask a few questions, and then happened to ask... More

We stayed in the Family suite on the first floor for 3 which initially sounded good because we didn't have to carry out luggage up several flights of stairs but soon learned that being out the front of the carpark was not conducive to sleep. My general feeling about this place is that it's catered more to the local workers... More
