Stayed in Port Macquarie Backpackers for 4 nights and it was fantastic, the hostel is ace and everyone is so friendly. Super friendly staff, 5-10min walk to the town with all the supermarkets bars etc. A bit further to the beach though, maybe 20mins. The shared bathrooms were very clean. The double room we had was tiny, but it had a window (to the road), and a fan, so there was air in the evening.
