When reading other reviews I must admit I was concerned! Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff at reception in which all of my requests were fulfilled.. We were shown a map of how to get to our villa. When arriving at the villa it did fulfill all expectations althought I would say that some further cleaning wouldn't... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews. We had a two bedroom villa which was very spacious and tidy with a great outlook of the mountains. The interior was in good condition and the added touch of the candlelit bed turn down added a touch of romance. We specially enjoyed watching... More

Thanks for leaving us some feedback about your recent stay. It’s great to hear you found the villa spacious and tidy, and it sounds as though you made the most of your private balcony and the kangaroos put on a good show. I sincerely apologise for the experience you had with staff at our restaurant – I was disappointed to... More

The resort is in a great location and has excellent facilities, but the rooms are a bit tired. I would not choose this for a romantic holiday but for a corporate retreat, if you like golf or your taking your family, it's probably perfect.

Stayed at a beautiful two bedroom villa for two nights, ideally situated for exploring the surrounding Hunter Valley. There is also a small wine tasting outlet at the entrance to The Cypress Lake Resort, Brokenwood, the wine was just delightful we bought some to enjoy with our meal on arrival. Thereis alovely restuarant on site which we went on our... More

We enjoyed a mid-week stay with extended family members. Clean, very large and comfortable three bedroom villa with beautiful view. The resort is within a five minute drive from all the places we had planned to visit in the Hunter Valley, so very convenient. Staff were very friendly and courteous. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and... More

A return guest and still love staying there however the villa's are starting to look a little tired. Old TV's, floors badly marked and the outdoor furniture has obviously broken and not been replaced as we only had one chair on our balcony. The wait staff in the restaurant at breakfast were quite rude and each morning we felt rushed... More

My wife & I have stayed at Cyress Lakes a couple of times now. We love the location, which is right in the middle of the Hunter Valley wineries. This year we took my parents to celebrate my father's birthday and we were not disappointed. The villa we stayed in was very comfortable, roomy and clean. We had a view... More

If you are a golfer it is probably a great place to stay - it's just down the road from a lot of the vineyards and good restaurants. Great helpful staff.......BUT...... Thanks for your feedback and I’m glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We do have 2 options on offer for coffee during breakfast time – a self serve machine in the buffet area (which you are referring to in your comments) and a trained barista on hand to make any coffee to order at the bar area. The coffee... More

Stayed overnight in a 3 bedroom villa towards the back of the resort. The villa itself was very spacious and well maintained although there were a few housekeeping issues evident (eg. only concrete floor inside the wardrobes, only 3 drinking glasses - plenty of wine glasses though!). The beds were very comfortable. The heated pool area was lovely and the... More

Fantastic and secluded Villas in the Hunter make for a great stay. Reception building is newly renovated and took our breath away when walking in with the bright sun lighting up the building and pond outside. Once you check in, your villa may be 5 minutes walk away, yet if you value privacy and a large 'home away from home'... More
