Very clean and well organised, quiet but central location, friendly staff and a great vibe. Way ahead of the competition at the same price. So skip the rest, these guys are tops!

All doors open, you can access the rooms from the street uncontrolled. No lockers provided. That's how it comes 3 people lost their valuables in the few weeks I was there. Huge ammounts of bedbucks ("they live in the walls") and the biggest cockroaches I have ever seen! The baths smell like mold and everybody has an athlete's foot there.... More

Very old, plain bedrooms with no furniture and bathrooms were awful but a nice common room with a small clean pool. No a/c anywhere so very hot. A short walk to most stores. Sometimes they would offer to drive you to the beach, otherwise you had to bus it. No soap or towels in bathroom.

Gr8 clean place. Staff friendly and helpful.Easy to get around newy from here. Would stay again when in city. Good stop on journey down the east coast. jump from here to the Hunter valley wine and cheese.

the staff were awesome, really friendly and helpful. the hostel was central to the beach and shops, the buildings are pretty old but clean. brilliant outdoor setup with pool table, swimming pool and hammocks. the vibe was great and everyone got along easily. i'd definately stay there again and would recomend it to others!!
