We stayed in the king deluxe ensuite double, and I was very happy with the room. It was clean, modern, comfortable, but best of all, just a 5 minute walk into the center of town. The room had a "log-cabin" feel to it. They also have a nice covered car-park with garage-entry after hours. We only had a chance to... more

The rate was good, the location was fantastic, but if sleep is important to you then don't stay here unless they can guarantee the top floor (even earplugs didn't help). The wooden floors look great, but totally impractical as nobody can move without making a noise that seems to reverberate through the whole place! Even the hallways and stairwells have... more

This place offered good value. It was very inexpensive for Queentown, and quite honestly, one of the cheapest places we stayed in throughout New Zealand. It was much nicer than motels where we either paid more or comparable. The place is clean and we enjoyed the heated bathroom floors. The beds were decent although not great in terms of comfort... more

We stayed for two nights and couldn't fault the place. It was so extremely close to town which was a huge advantage. The rooms are simple, but very clean, and the bathrooms have recently been renovated and are great - and importantly, have heated tiles! We didn't notice any noise from the street or the wooden floors at all. The... more

I cannot believe that this is a **** hotel. As others have pointed out, the wooden floors look nice and are very contemporary, but that means there is constant noise. I also had the misfortune to be put in Room 1 which is literally next to the Reception meaning you hear everything, not to mention the receptionist coming in at... more

Booked this lodging on wotif.com after reading other reviews. The hotel is a bit noisy due to the wood floors, but it was not an major problem. We did not try the breakfast room, but went to Vudu for breakfast instead (highly recommend). The room was an odd shape, but clean. For the time we spent in it, basically sleeping,... more

Very clean. Nicely (simply) appointed, but I wouldn't call it 'charming'. Great customer service. Excellent location to town (short walk). Some street noise thru the large widows, but otherwise quiet on the 2nd floor. There are wood floors throughout, so a room on the 1st floor might be noisy, especially if it's close to the reception area. Coin-op laundry facility... more

We stayed here for three nights in June, following a snowstorm that delayed us, and many others, in getting to Queenstown during its Winter Festival. We arrived a day later than planned due to roads being closed but were able to extend our stay a day on the other end without problem. The facility is gleaming, with wonderful beds and... more

The location is great and the staff were friendly, but the wooden floorboards are very noisy, and the room I stayed in seemed to have no soundproofing. Every sound outside the door could be heard, including the fax machine at reception down the corridor, and conversations between staff as if they were taking place in the room. This was not... more

Stayed here during the Christmas/New Year's period and - in contrast to all other Queenstown accommodation which was exorbitantly priced at this time - the Coronation Lodge charged a comparatively decent rate. It also is only a 4-5 minute stroll to the city centre, which was great. The decor was very basic but clean, as it appeared to be a... more
