Unfortunately the hotel was not as close to Queenstown as we had hoped. However we extended our car hire to enable us to enjoy Queenstown and the surrounding area. Our room was clean and tidy with views over the garden. We ate in the hotel restaurant and enjoyed our meals.

The hotel was really bad. it shoul have 3 stars, I would rather give 1. The rooms are old, bad smelling, ugly and really not nice! The pool and the spa area are disgustig, the pool ist old and in parts broken. The spa area is 25 years old, with green linolium floor and the room next door ist the... More

Although the hotel is 25 years old and may look and feel a bit dated, we make sure that all our rooms and facilities are kept very clean. Our housekeeping department prides itself in getting many good comments about our clean rooms. We are sorry that your stay with us was not to your expectations. Our hotel is a 3 star... More

Sherwood Manor offers a facility half way between the airport and the township. I chose it knowing there was a bus service within a short walk and was happy to learn by quoting I was a guest of Sherwood Manor, the town return fare was reduced to $5.00. I requested a complimentary airport transfer and The Manor was happy to... More

Thankyou for your review, our hotel is a 3 star rated hotel and the avalible facilaties is a reflection of that as well. Its great that you like our breakfast. please note that the sunshine in Queensown is limited as the sun stays behind the mountains and all of Queenstown is south facing towards the lake, so away from the... We did find the staff very helpful in organising tours etc and accommodating of questions. Facilities were basic but there. Microwave, toaster, kettle, stove top. Laundry was $2 a wash and dryer $2 a go. Located at Fraknton which is a drive to Queenstown. No allocated parking made it difficult to find a spot since it was booked out at... More

Thankyou for choosing Discovery Sherwood Hotel. With the parking issue we have ample parking which is unallocated so there is no problem to get a park, but when we are fully booked the parking does get full, it is best to pop down to reception and we can help you find a spot. We are located half way between Frankton... More

Although the hotel came with a view of the lake, our rooms were unfortunately not facing the lake. Despite the obstruction of view which we didn't seem to mind, we couldn't help but notice that the hotel is quite costly in certain respect. Example - if you make a call in your room to an external number, they would charge... More

Sixth accommodation we stayed in during our trip to South Island. Booked through Grabone website, prepaid NZD230 for 2 nights inclusive of continental breakfast for 2 persons only + a bottle of wine, additional NZD28 for extra bed per night. Check-in on 6 Dec 2011 (Apt 508) was smooth, staff friendly. Clean, spacious apartment - single bed in living/dining area,... More

This hotel is nowhere near to the cbd .It is on the way to the downtown from the airport. There is a bus stop nearby and the bus charges 5 dollars for return ticket. The rooms are very large and can accommodate two adults and two children easily and have a partial kitchen. Some rooms have an excellent view of... More

Suitable hotel for price, visited in winter, quite area. Fair way from town centre but has good public bus service. Great service. Comfortable room, not enough blankets, so had to use more electricity - not so Ecofriendly. Nice spa room after lots of skiing.

On our driving tour in NZ we mostly stayed in motels but this hotel was cheaper than local motels. The rooms were excellent and the views all round were spectacular. Hotel restaurant also great - we couldn't fault it.

This hotel is located on a picturesque elevated location on Frankton Rd, you get a great view of The Remarkables. The hotel is done up in a quaint Tudor style. The room we had was a fair size with a reasonable double bed, but nothing flash. However, the bath was rusty in spots and the water flow left much to... More
