First, I don't disagree with any of the reviews that precede me. This is basically the equivalent of a New Zealand timeshare property, beautiful views on the lake, a 30 minute walk to town, fridge and microwave in every room, no road noise, and steep driveway to get out. Room was clean, everything worked. Second, while I agree the walk... more

My wife, brother-in-law and I spent two nights in a self contained unit, with a kitchen/dining area/living room upstairs, and two bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs. The property is on the outskirts of town, with a very pleasant 30-minute walk along the lakeshore into Queenstown. We enjoyed the fabulous views over the lake and mountains from the living room and... more

We were travelling with another couple and were recommended to "The Point" by the New Zealand Travel & Information Centre. My main disappointment was that it was quoted as 'Luxury 5 star accommodation'. That was not the case. It was a very pleasant apartment with 2 bedrooms and only 1 bathroom. It had thin cardboard walls, the television remote didn't... more

The reason I have gone to the trouble of writing this review is to share our good experiece with people who are looking for something cosy, clean and comfortable with great veiws, as it can be quite decieving to find something nice when you are looking on the net. We stayed here from the 7th to the 14th July 2006. The... more

At the last minute, I decided to give this hotel a try after reading not so great reviews about the other place I was going to stay. My family thoroughly enjoyed our 2 bedroom apartment and were extremely happy with our choice. The view was amazing, the apartment was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and having a washer and dryer... more

Came back by Taxi sometimes. we were two couples and that made for good value Unit 2 had a gas fire and a spa bath (very much a requirement after skiing) & a huge sitting dining room and was... more

Our family had 4 nights at the Point. Great chance to catch up on the laundry which was in the apartment. Views were excellent. A little far to walk to the town centre for evening meals. Balcony was a little small. Had some lovely long walks around the lake which is right in front of the apartment block. Kitchen facilities... more

We 2 senior couples had a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apt., about 1500 sq.ft. The bedrooms were good, the large living area was excellent with comfortable furniture, fireplace, and balcony with an excellent view of the Remarkables. With kichen, free laundry, reasonable rate, and proximity to town, this was an excellent choice. more
