I have stayed in 15 hostels and motels across 3 continents, and this is the best budget accommodation I've ever stayed at. Heck, it's even better than some cheap hotels. The staff (especially the owner, Brett) are super friendly and helpful with the planning of our day, including recommendations for activities to do and down to details like places to... More

Really amazing hostel, clean, innovative and what all hostels should be like. Plugs in lockers, balconies overlooking the main street or mountains, comfy and central. Nicest hostel ice ever stayed in x

This place is seriously the nicest hostel I've stayed at in my life. There are so many amenities - free bike rental, free luggage storage, free locks, hair dryers, TVs, trivia nights, nice patio, free unlimited wifi (practically unheard of in NZ!), free towels (total luxury in a hostel!)---they even printed out a boarding pass for me for FREE. I... More

If you go to Queenstown you have to try it A 50 beds hostel all new and perfectly clean. In the center of the town with an extra friendly staff. When you check in the staff show around and make you feel like at home, the size of the hostel is perfect not to many people but always somebody to... More

This hostel is outstanding. It is in an excellent location, being a 2 minute walk to the Station & many of the other places where you go for booking &/or pick up for bungy jumping etc...It is a close walk in fact to many places of interest in Queenstown. The rooms & bathrooms are very good. In fact the bathrooms... More

So many reasons why I believe AQ is the 'finest hostel' in Queenstown ... in fact, I am almost tempted to call it 'New Zealand's Finest Hostel'. I don’t mean to gush, but I’m going to anyway :) A 2-day stay turned into 2 weeks. In that time, I moved rooms a few times (due to my lack of planning... More

Perfect hostel. I stayed there 4 nights. The hostel is really very good. Clean and new bathrooms (although the bathrooms are not so clean in the morning - but you can't have it all). Clean bed linen. You even get a towel. Clean and comfortable kitchen. Twice a week the hostel owner cooks for everybody and you can have dinner... More

We stayed a total of 3 nights (one night then came back later for a two night stay). The staff were very friendly and held our bags until the room was ready. The rooms were clean (my number one when it comes to hostels). The staff gave us good recommendations and booked all our activities for no charge. It has... More
