Great motel and excellent service. We stayed in a one bedroom unit and were very comfortable in what was a surprising find in Invercargill. There is a kitchen, bathroom, separate bedroom with a queen and single bed and a lounge room and dining table and chairs. Very homely and inviting. We stayed just one night on our way through to the Catlins. We had a spacious, one bedroom apartment downstairs with well-equipped kitchenette. Although on a main road, the apartment was quiet. There is a clean guest laundry and wifi available.The owners were friendly and very helpful in assisting us with our needs. More

Birchwood Manor is in a very convenient central location. We had a two-bedroom unit, upstairs. It was very comfortable and smart, with a full oven. The owner was very helpful. Wi-fi access cost extra. More

Stayed for a week at the Birchwood on trip to New Zealand for Rugby World Cup. the motel is about 10 minutes walk into the centre of Invercargill on a flat road. The room is clean & spacious, and come with a nice outdoor patio for ground floor units. We also find the fully equipped mini kitchen convenient. The Management is very helpful - they provide a pair of firmer pillows promptly upon request. More

We stayed in the Birchwood during the rugby world cup and it was an extremely pleasant stay. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the management couldn't have treated us any better. They even wrote us a letter to present at a bar which entitled us to a free drink. Would highly recommend. More

We cannot fault our stay, the hosts were trmendously helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were excellent value, spacious, clean and well equipped. Everything was within easy walk - stadium, shops etc. Thank you for a lovely stay. More
