we stayed at this hotel as part of an organized tour of New Zealand for three nights. The room is spacious and has all the facilities you need such as a telephone, minibar, tv, internet access (there is a charge), bath robes, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, nice shower and bath, two good sized towels, flannel and smaller towel...

Our family of 4 had 2 rooms across the hall from each other, something that, curiously, it seems not a lot of hotels seem to manage even when requested well in advance. Really good buffet breakfast; rooms were quite spacious for motel rooms and it was nice to be able to open the windows for some fresh air; convenient laundry...

Good central location and impressive building. We had a superior room which was most comfortable.
Meals in the resturant were very good, the bar menu was a bit different and it did seem a little odd having the same menu available in the two and at the same prices which defeats the object of bar and resturant.

Breakfast was good, as was the one evening meal we had in the hotel. Service was very pleasant and generally more efficient than many of the hotels we stayed in over a 5...

We stayed here as part of an Air NZ Mystery break. First impressions were not so good. The parking was definitely not what i would have expected from a 4.5 star hotel! Having to park your own car underground, and then walk up a steep ramp (with not a lot of room if there is a vehicle using it) then...
