We had the self-contained room which had a big bedroom space, ensuite bathroom, kitchen and dining table area, which was ideal for our 4 night stay over the New Year period. beautiful old style home on top of the hill looking down on Dunedin central and its harbour , gorgeous views charming rooms and charming hosts. welcoming , did all they possibly could have for us, even giving us a short tour of the city sites , totally recommended

Very nice B&B, great attention to detail and guest needs, even made a special breakfast for our toddler, which was very much appreciated. Stephen has excellent local knowledge and contacts, which he was happy to share with us, and we found invaluable, and even gave us a lift to a local car rental company, after arranging the booking for us.

The Highbrae Guesthouse looked fantastic on paper, and in reality far surpassed our expectations. Sitting on top of High Street with a fantastic view of the harbor, the location is pretty incredible. This is an excellent place for an overnight stop or even longer. The hosts are charming the house is warm and comfortable, and the views are spectacular from the bedroom windows. They found us an excellent cafe for lunch and recommended a super sightseeing trip. Very good value
