A group of friends stayed for two nights at the Merivale Manor and had a wonderful time...we didn't want to leave. Mine host was great and the rooms were warm and cosy and clean and the beds very comfy. We will definitely return.

I know its kinda late to provide review but this place was one of the best place that we stayed in Christchurch for such value of the money. We arrived late night and arrangement was done perfectly as have been communicated earlier(via email). Room was very clean, clean bathrooms, comfy bed. Best place to stay in Christchurch.

We stayed at the Merivale Manor 2 nights in April. It was a wonderful experience. The room was fantastic, great shower, good continental breakfast, extremely clean. Very good location for restaurants and convenient to downtown as well as the botanical gardens. The owners were very nice and quite helpful in all respects.

I didn't have much expectations when this motel was listed within my budget. We paid 145 NZD for the superior spa room and was thoroughly impressed when we arrived at our room. We stayed at Merivale Manor at the end of March. What a wonderful old building! Lovely continental breakfast provided, a very comfy bed what more could yoy ask for. Close to Merivale shops so finding something for dinner was very easy. If you've just flown into Christchurch Merivale Manor should be your first stop.
