I I highly recommend Greatstay in Christchurch (B&B). Lovely modern home, very comfortable rooms with private facilities. Centrally located and in close walking distance to a number of restaurants. The proprietors are extremely accommodating and very friendly people. Well worth a try.

Really enjoyed the comfortable & spotless bed and bathrooms, excellent breakfasts. The convenience of being close to downtown buses was appreciated. Plenty of opportunity to participate in convivial conversation with hosts and other guests but still provided privacy when required. Highly recommended!!

We were most impressed with the attention to detail and the kind, warming hospitality that John and Lesley provided us with while we were in Christchurch on a business trip.
