Our stay at Worcester hotel was perfect. The house is very nice and located 10 minutes walk from the city center and just opposite the botanic gardens. The room was big, clean and well furnished. The breakfast was excellent: fruit, toast, muffins, french toasts, omelette.... Very good. The owners, Tony and Maree, were very welcoming with us and made us... More

Tony and Maree try hard to make their guests feel welcome in a beautiful house in the Art area of town. Its location could not be better to explore Christchurch. When the city is back in action to accept visitors then this is the place to go.

An ideal location close to the Botanical Gardens, tramway, centre, restaurants, arts centre and museum. A beautiful property with very welcoming hosts in Tony and Maree who go the extra mile to ensure their guests have a wonderful stay. Evening drinks with them and our fellow guests was a pleasure and the breakfasts were superb. Tony provided lots of helpful... More

The Worcester is opposite the Arts Centre and it was pretty rowdy when we arrived. We were greeted with "We normally serve wine to our guests between 6pm and 7pm - but as you have arrived at 6.30pm it's a bit late"! Nice bedroom with antique furniture, etc. but the bathroom area was pokey. The room was divided between a... More

After 15 years and thousands of very happy guests ( with no stubbed toes) we are so disappointed that we appear to have upset these guests. The Arts Centre and all of the Cultural Precinct could never be described as “rowdy”, lively perhaps, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm during the very popular market. Yes, the toilet is in the... Beautiful accomodation. So quiet and relaxing but right in the middle of the city. There are the most gorgeous botanical gardens across the street and museum right across the street as well. the host and hostess couldnt do enough and couldnt be nicer.

The Worcester offers a high class bed and breakfast which delivers everything described on its website. It is more expensive than many - but its offering is well worth the extra spend. The location in Christchurch could not be better - opposite the arts centre and a walk to everything you need in the town - 5 mins to Cathedral... More

During our 7-week holidays in New Zealand, we mostly stayed in 4 and 5 star B&B's. Nearly all were of exeptional quality and made our trip in this beautiful country unforgettable. Of the 19 different lodgings we had, The Worcester in Christchurch, our final address before flying to Sydney, was one of our favourites. The Worcester Suite on the upper... More

I have stayed at The Worcester of Christchurch several times, the most recent being just last week, and it is always an absolute delight. The location couldn't be better, right opposite the arts centre and a 5-minute walk from the heart of the city, and hosts Maree Ritchie and Tony Taylor (and their 2 very important poodles Joe and Peggy)...
