We started and finished our time in New Zealand at the Camelot Motor Lodge. Brian & Penny Davidson were excellent hosts, so very helpful to us Minnesotans, in New Zealand for the first time. They were always friendly and even helped us with a computer problem. Rooms were clean and comfortable beds.

We stayed in the 2-bedroom apartment and a studio. Both were very comfortable and the apartment especially was spacious and well-furnished. Our room was clean, spacious and a good value. We arrived after the office was closed and the key was in the box just like they said it would be. The castle motif was a little cheesy, but nothing else bad to say about it. In the morning, the staff was helpful with maps and recommendations on what to see.

We were given an upgrade to a three bedroom suite...was a great hotel with all the amenities. Christchurch and New Zealand in general was quite a magical place.
