Omaka Heights (O/H) came recommended to us by friends who had stayed there a few years earlier. O/H was warm and cozy and came with a private patio to sip wine and watch the valley below. The spacious room was very clean and neat with the bath ensuite. If you enjoy animals you will love the Alpacas which are fun to... More

Clean, comfortable rooms with beautiful views of the hills of Omaka. We loved staying on a farm, seeing the alpaca, and chatting with the gracious hosts. Nibbles and wine are provided in the late afternoon/evening, which is a perfect way to relax after biking around the vineyards. More

What a wonderful view, location and absolutely friendly, welcoming hosts. We stayed for two nights...it was the perfect location for touring the wine district in Marlborough, we highly recommend it. Blenheim is only a 5 minute drive...wineries on your doorstep. Wake up to spectacular mountain views....and a few Alpaca's grazing by. Don't bother staying in town, this is the best... More

My wife and I stayed with Robin and Nancy for four nights. We used the B & b as a base to tour the north of the South Island including the Nelson and Kaikoura areas as well as the more immediate wineries. It proved easy to get to all the places we wanted to although the location is a few... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this bed and breakfast and we even decided to stay one day longer. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great, the rooms are nice, but do not expect anything fancy. The view over the vineyards is amazing and very centrally located in malborough and close to the vineyards. We would... We loved Omaka Heights with its resident alpacas, beautiful outlook and very comfortable rooms. The views from the panoramic french windows of our room and the communal guest area were superb over the alpaca pastures, the vineyards to the distant mountains. Our host were discrete but very helpful, the food was lovely and plentiful. Highly recommended. We used this as... More

Our stay at Omaka Heights was wonderful. We had an incredible view from our room where we would enjoy the sunset with a bottle of wine each night. Nancy and Robin are great hosts. It was such a comfortable and cozy place to stay- we felt like we were staying with family. It was also fun to learn about the... More

A lovely B+B up on a marlborough hillside and overlooking the vineyards. The owners have a herd of alpacas and are a treasure trove of information on all things alpaca, as well as providing local advice about the best vineyards, places to eat, etc. A welcoming glass of wine and a cheese plate on arrival continued with a wonderful breakfast... This is definitely a 5 star experience. The rating system won't allow me to select 'excellent' - maybe a bug in the system. We were warmly welcomed by Robin and Nancy Taylor who readily provided all the necessary advice regarding restaurants and sightseeing. Facilities here are superb with two very large bedrooms with a small living area with television, fridge,... More

We were staying at Blenheim in the Marlborough region which is famous for the vineyards in the area. We found Omaka Heights on their great website. The website had very easy directions on how to find the property. It was a little out of Blenheim, right in the heartland of the wine district, which we loved. The B&B is situated... More
