Stayed here with a colleague (on different floors). At check-out the next day, we discovered we were both complaining about been awoken at around 03:30am be the same loud (air-conditioner/heavy plant) noise - which, once started, did NOT turn off. I was still adjusting to the new time zone so I didn't get back to sleep. All either of us... More

Location best part of the hotel. Right next to everything; Te Papa, Cuba st, Courtenay place...Hotel looks kind of old and boring from the outside, and the lobby is pretty dated, but the rooms were surprisingly nice and had great views of Wellington, which is a sweet city. If you are there on a Sunday, don't miss the awesome farmers... More

We stayed here 5 nights as part conference part pleasure for the first time since the refurbishment. Staying in a large 1 bedroom suite we were more than happy with the room and the facilities associated with it. All the staff were extremely friendly including those servicing the room. Organised a rental car to be delivered to the hotel with... More

The weekend just been, my husband and I were treated to a night away from our 3 young girls, our first real treat in a long time. I booked a '5 star' hotel, expecting a very luxurious night where we would come away feeling so refreshed, and where surely the staff would surely be committed to taking care of all... More

We arrived in Wellington on a Saturday night for a two night stay at the Amora Hotel. We had no car as we planed to spend time in the city. The Amora is ideally situated for walking access to city shops, cafes and restaurants nearby and Te Papa Museum a short distance away. Our room was on the 7th floor.... More

Our group of 3 friends stayed here for a weekend. The room was well appointed, modern & very clean. Beds were doubles which were a bit cosy for 2 friends, but the length of them were very decent - especially considering we are tall! Bathroom was a good size, well maintained & very clean. Only very minor complaint was the... More

We stayed four nights here to go to the historic first Anzac Day AFL game. We booked several months prior (as soon as the game was announced) and got an extremely good deal, staying in a Club Suite. The room was enormous (looks like when upgrading the building, they had knocked two suites into one) and we had a separate... More

We stayed just the one night in a double twin room (group of 3). Room was tidy, clean and well appointed. Considering it is literally in the middle of the city, with a great harbour view, the hotel represents good value for money. Extra requests such as an ice bucket, tooth paste and a couple of other bits and pieces... More
