This was the second time we have stayed here. The location is excellent with the centre of town only a 10 minute walk away. The site for our campervan overlooked the sea and the port. Just lovely. The Coastal walkway is just below the camp and you can go all the way to Bell Block by bike in about 45... More

Overall the location of the park makes up for most things. It is very centrally located and a 15 minute into town. Kids can scooter or bike easily and it is ideal for this. Make sure you take some wheels with you. The best aquatic centre I have ever been to is about a 5 minute walk away. Kids can... More

It was late, about 16.00 when we arrived at this site and we got a cool recepition, and no milk. This is a basic campsite with grassy parking stands overlooking the Sea, you are high up, and overlook some kind of dock complex. The kitchen block was well equiped and clean, the toilet blocks were clean, but I did not... More

We stayed here in a camper van and our pitch looked straight out to the sea with the harbour area to the left. The park is in a good location about a pleasant 20 minute walk along the coastal highway into the city centre. The facilities are basic but clean and there is a laundry. Pleasant staff.

If you are caravaning or want a tourist flat with great sea and harbour views then this is the place. Perched on top of the cliff over looking the port of New Plmouth. The camp has great facilites for both options and the the place is very clean, sometimes hard to find in a motor camp. The staff are very... More

The online photos don't do this location justice. We stayed in a family unit with ensuite which was right on the waterfront. Fantastic views, clean tidy unit and oh so handy to everything. The recommendations in the folder from the park owners proved very helpful to those new to the area.

We stayed here a couple of nights and we got a campground that was right on the cliff facing the sea, very breezy and perfect view of the sunset (at an angle of course). The showers and toilets were clean, as was the kitchen. All facilities were under lock and key and each campervan/cabin gets a key to use them.... More

For the price, not bad, but a few things could have been included. First off, this is located right on the beach, but about 30m above the beach, so there is no direct access unless you use a parachute. Still, a great view and a short walk to the water. There is some kind of refinery nearby so the view... More

I stayed at the Belt Road Motor camp for one night in July. I booked a cabin with an en suite, which I recommend. When I have had to travel to New Plymouth previously I had stayed at either a motel or a hotel. Well next time I will stay here again. The reason I liked it here was because... More

Ok accommodation but not sufficient heating for a cold winters week. There were also ants which kept appearing.
