On the locals recommendations, myself and my partner stayed on site at Haruru Falls Resort or as i called it ' my little corner of Paradise' for just over 3 Months. Everyday we felt lucky to be waking up in such a scenic place! The stunning waterfalls just off to the left of the waterfront camp are made even more... more

Have just spent 3 weeks trpping around the North Island with the family staying in Cabins & Motorcamps all the way - usually a different one each night. Unfortunately some friends recommended this 'location' so we booked the Basic Cabin for 3 nights. Upon arrival at 3pm the cabin had not been cleaned and received a very quick vacuum. Floor... more

We camped here for just short of 2 weeks on our annual holiday as we have done for some years now. The location of the resort is very handy to Paihia and not too far to Kerikeri. It is positioned on the banks of the Waitangi river with incredible views towards the Haruru falls and is surrounded by steepish banks... more

My daughter and I were visiting Northland and wanted budget accommodation in a nice setting. This was perfect, the scenery was wonderful and the view of the falls complemented the gin and tonic on our balcony (recommended by Lonely Planet). We were just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Paihia but near enough to enjoy all the... more

The Haruru Resort would be a wonderful camping site if we had a tent! However, for the price we paid, the units are a little dated compared to other places we have stayed in this summer. The owner who is completely over worked was tired and grumpy. completely forgetting to book taxi's for us when she promised she would do... more

A great property for families. Beautiful location. Friendly helpful staff, great restaurant. Clean & comfortable rooms. I think this resort has done its self proud after recovering from 2 devastating floods in 2007, where all was but lost. Being a family owned and operated business nothing was too much trouble. My stay was utterly enjoyable. more

I have travelled extensivly around NZ staying in many different holiday parks, camping grounds, motels, hotels, resorts and this experience is the worst I have ever had.... We originally booked a family apartment but then upgraded it to a superior apartment well before our arrival date. I was somewhat suprised at the condition of the so called 'superior apartment' as... more

We stayed here for 7 nights for a time out trip to the upper part of the North Island as both my husband and I were looking to explore that part of the country. We booked a campsite for our tent and intended using it as a base for the time we were in the Bay of Islands. As the... more

We stayed at this resort for one night and had a chalet/motel room on the end of the block.Rooms are pretty much 1* , 2* at best : rooms are dated , kitchen smelt awful and not very clean. The bathroom was a mix of suites , with one looking around 30 years old! For this money you can find yourself... more

Having enjoyed a few trips to this facility in the past, I was more than happy to book agan once I heard about the "considerable renovations" that had occurred due to massive flooding on a previous year. I booked a 2-bed, 2-bath apartment (for 4 adults) 6 months in advance, just to make sure we got the right one, as... more
