We stayed two nights in room 6, and the whole hotel has a wonderful ambience. It was in a very beautiful and quiet location overlooking the ocean, and had wonderful in-bed views of the ocean and surrounding areas. We came here from the quite impressive Hilton in Aukland which we also enjoyed but waking up to the wonderful view, the peaceful environment, the friendly welcome and even the washing facilities meant that we enjoyed it even more. Not posh, but wonderful.

While we were unfortunate to have heavy rains during our stay we were more than pleased with our accommodation. When we arrived at Cook's Lookout we had a room overlooking the pool. My husband was so disappointed as this was for a special occasion. The hosts were away but luckily we are able to move rooms.
