We had a wonderful 4 nights at Marlin House despite the wet weather. We stayed in the Gold room which was beautifully furnished and had great views of the bay. Lynda and Roger are a very hospitable couple and they want you to enjoy yourself and their home. The B&B is just a couple of minutes walk into town where... More

'Welcome to Paradise'...Roger's words when we arrived on the deck for our first breakfast overlooking the Bay. Marlin House is a fantastic location and we felt really comfortable in the Blue Room (more like the Blue Suite as there was a separate bedroom lounge and bathroom). Access to the town is easy on foot if you are reasonably fit, but... More

The location, ambience and view from Marlin House were excellent. Roger and Lynda serve one of the best continental breakfasts you could want. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Roger and Lynda were extremely hospitable hosts. More

We spent two nights at Marlin House. It's in a brilliant location, just a few minutes walk from the beach and local restaurants. Linda and Roger are fantastic hosts, they are wonderfully warm and very knowledgeable about the local area. We stayed in the Green Room, it was spotlessly clean and spacious, with a Super King bed, great tiled bathroom... More

This was our first B&B on our trip to NZ and we couldn’t have picked a better start point. Lynda and Roger were incredibly helpful with their tips on where to stop off both during and after our stay. We were in a really convenient location just a short walk up the hill from the beach front and enjoyed an... More

We stayed here fore 3 nights before travelling down to Auckland to fly home. The accommodation was 5* and the breakfasts were excellent. The views across the bay were beautiful as was the local area. Wish we could of stayed longer. More

We spent 4 days in paradise with Linda and Roger! They treated us royally! Very clean and spacious bedroom with ensuite and sitting room. Beautiful view on the second level outside to enjoy your exquisite homemade breakfast. It's just a short walk down to the harbour front and to beach. A variety of good restaurants to choose from. There are... More

Outstanding in every respect. Great location a few minutes walk from beach and boat wharf, yet quiet with stunning views of bay. Self-contained 'apartment' spacious and well-appointed. Excellent hospitality and breakfasts. More

What a great place this was to stay with such wonderful hosts. This was the best place we stayed in while visiting our daughter in NZ. When we come to NZ in 2014 we will be back to enjoy the views, breakfasts and congenial company of Roger and Lynda. Fabulous place, a longer stay next time I think . More
