Motel is in a very good locatin for shopping in the CBD, shopping or restaurants. Good access for wine cellar visiting in the area. Room was spacious and kitchen and bathroom were adequate. WiFi was free with no problems. We stayed for 2 nts from Feb 2-4, 2012. More

The Albatross is great value for money, basic but everything you need. Yes, there is road noise but free ear plugs are offered and I personally didn't find I needed them. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Rooms were nice and clean. Simple but current decor (not dated 90's like many). Very happy to accomodate our 2 year old in a portacot and even made sure the room we got had slightly more space. Overall a very pleasant stay, would definetly stay again. More

A very friendly, clean place to stay, spoilt by location so close to the main road north, that on arrival you are offered ear plugs. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was quite comfortable. The Hotel was just out of the main city centre a bit far to walk but very handy by car -Napier is a beatiful city! Clean room with all the basic stuff you would need. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this motel to anybody who, like us, just need a place to sleep and get clean.
