We were lucky to get the last room here in a busy week, and it was the penthouse. There are quite a few sea facing motels in Napier and this is a great little gem! While this might not be a hotel with full facilities, the room are clean, well maintained and large. You could almost miss the motel de la Mer on Marine drive except for the sensible town speed limit which gives a driver time to look about.
