Advantages - One of the cheapest hostels in CBD. - Ten-bed room actually means two semi-separated rooms. - Opening windows – fresh air is a real necessity here. - Free safe-box at the reception. - Spacious balcony at the kitchen. - Some receptionists were reserved and helpful. - Dorms are usually not full – the possible reasons are considered below.... I stayed here for the Foo fighters gig, the hostel is very clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly, helpful and provide a great atmosphere at the hostel. Cheap and central is about the only positive thing to say about this hellhole. It's filthy, smells terrible, old broken furnishings, delapidated carpets, dirty kitchen and a manager who doesn't seem to have a clue what's going on. Sheets are dirty. Very basic hostel. Rooms are ok in size but not nearly enough power points to plug anything in. A lot if long stay people in the hostel and it doesn’t seem that the rooms are ever cleaned – used tampons in the bedrooms and everything, very ugly.
