This was the only place available for a short notice trip to Perth for my wife and I. We arrived late and made our way to our room. The room itself looked like it had been last renovated in the 1970's, with a classic 70's couch and rug. The 'desk', if you could call it that, was a wooden board... More

We decided to go on a last minute holiday to perth and were left with only a few accomodation options (as it was the night before that we booked). Kings hotel perth and aarons hotel perth were our only other options and from the reviews and the pictures they looked very substandard (and were charging alot more than riverview on... More

The Riverview on Mount is in a great location (short stroll to city, and close to scenic parks) however be warned!! Relative to other Australian capital city accommodation the cost per night is grossly inflated. I paid $200 for one night and based on my experience in other capital cities it is simply not worth this price. (If I had... More

We found ourselves in Perth over Christmas unexpectedly without accommodation.Found this place by accident. We had a special rate as the apartments were mostly empty for the first few days and although we were not unhappy with what we paid we had had a larger better equipped flat the week before.for less money, so it is worth looking around.Apartment could... I really enjoyed staing here, probably because I know how over-priced and prison-like most Perth accom is, having visited annually for the past 12 years. I had a really fun time, even though this is by no means a perfect place, and is strangely patchy and wrong in certain key aspects. The location is excellent and very corporate and well... More

Better than average! Picked up this place at $170 a night in December. The location is awesome - only a bridge away from Perth CBD. The concerns about noise from the freeway was unfounded, however I am a bit of a heavy sleeper so I could sleep through everything. The staff were friendly, ringing me before I got into Perth... The hotel has an excellent location: It is very central, in walking distance to the CBD and convention center, but also in a quite residential street which feels safe and is very peaceful allowing a good rest. I loved the modern design of the rooms and the cleanliness. Very comfortable place. Helpful staff. There was no reception after 7 pm... More

Have people started developing unrealistic expectations when it comes to accommodation? I believe so. I see one reviewer of this establishment bemoaned the fact that there that was no coffee plunger and associated glasses despite the fact that they were advertising a “fully equipped kitchen”. Oh dear did I laugh. I have a “fully equipped kitchen” at home and I... More

At $370 per night - nor even a flat screen tv. No wifi, no amenities. While self contained - is cramped and dated with aged decor. A lack of screens prevent opening doors and windows at night - one of the key features of the location. Location is superb - a short walk to Perth CBD and the park.

The Riverview is very close the Perth CBD and we stayed there from the 31st of August for 5 nights. The main Hay Street and Murray Street precints are walking distance. Getting to the Barrack Street Jetty for river cruises or Swan Valley wine tastings are also easy from the Riverview. The Northbridge entertainment district is a tad further but... More
