My daughter and I stayed at this delightful property for three nights towards the end of last year. I had contemplated staying at a hotel in the city - I am so glad I didn't! From the welcome we received from our gracious hosts Sandra and Bill, the beautifully restored Edwardian house, the great location, the wonderfully decorated and very... More

My introduction to W.A hospitality was impressive. Bill and Sandra made me feel welcomed in that special way that old families have as customary hospitality to strangers. The attention to detail both inside and outside the house creates a unique combination that bears the imprint of considerable experience of welcoming their guests. If it is your desire to experience what... More

Sandra & Bill know just how to welcome the tired traveler and put them at ease. We loved our double room which had its own little terrace, and an excellent ensuite. Breakfasts were superb, no rigid time, and taken in the lovely conservatory. The house is on a large corner plot in a very quiet and select area. Whilst we... More

I must start by saying that this is the first Australian b and b that we have stayed in so I cannot make any comparison with other properties. We arrived by taxi from the airport and stayed two nights, the fare was 37 Aus dollars. Sandra and Bill were out however the key was left as arranged and we let... More

I enjoyed staying at Durack House very much. Sandra and Bill were warm, generous and very kind hosts. The breakfast each morning was delicious and the setting beautiful, calm and relaxing. I enjoyed the room, which was elegant and restful, with a beautiful bathroom. It was great to be able to hop on a train to get into town and... More

If you're planning a trip to Perth with that special person in your life, this is the place to stay. Durack House is located in the ultra-salubrious inner suburb of Mt Lawley, just ten minutes' walk from the hipster enclave of Beaufort Street and two hundred yards from the closest railway station. The house itself is an elegantly modernized Edwardian... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Durack House. Sandra & Bill were lovely hosts and helped us enormously with suggestions for our sightseeing in Perth. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, comfortable bed which is important for us and very convenient to restaurants, public transport and Perth city. More

Generally I do not stay at B&Bs. My friends booked it. What a beautiful surprise! I had a spacious room with ensuite and it was spotless and had everything I needed especially a clock radio that worked as I like to listen at night. The hosts Sandra and Bill were charming and the cooked breakfast was probably the best I... More

Location location location! Perfect. Close to railway station, walk to excellent restaurants & pubs for dinner through the old world charm of Mount Lawley. A birthday dinner at Jacksons was outstanding. The house, behind a white picket fence and pretty garden, was tastfully furnished with antiques & paintings, and has a comfortable lounge with tea and plunger coffee available at... More
