Stayed 4 nights and enjoyed every minute, had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the food and service was great.

Stayed one night at the Customs House Hotel in Hobart whilst on business. Hotel is situated in a great location within easy walking distance of most Hobart points of interest, waterfront and mall. At $120, had a spotlessly clean basic room with what appeared to be a recently renovated en suite. Room was not huge but given the building was... More

Rooms are good value for money, however it does not suits the standards of real hotels. I stayed in room 8 right above the hotel's restaurant and pub, it can be a bit noisy. No easy accessible plugs in the room. Bathroom fan sounds like a tractor. All the rest is ok for a $135 overnight.

Great 3 nights in a large, clean, comfortable but basic room. Excellent location and great views from the waterfront queen room on the second floor. We were able to walk to most sights and had ready access to tourist facilities. We had expected a bit of noise, but the place was very quiet, even on Uni student night (Wednesday). Really... More

The hotel is in an excellent location within easy walking distance to the harbour, Salamanca market and city centre. Parking is a bit of a problem but on check in the receptionist was helpful. The room was roomy with a large comfortable bed but other facilities were very poor - no hanging space except an extending arm out of the... More

Stayed in a Waterfront twin room booked on wotif.com, clean but very basic. No wardrobe, just a peg on the wall and no aircon, just a fan. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Because it is an old building, after getting the lift up to the second floor, we then had stairs to manoeuver with our luggage.... More

My husband I stayed here for 5 nights in March. We were able to walk to all the sights in Hobart from there. We especially enjoyed the included breakfasts and the dinners were awesome. Best food we had in Hobart. The seafood was superb. The front desk staff were extremely helpful.

My partner and I stayed in March. The best thing abou this place is the location - right across from Salamanca Square and the wharf, and a short walk to the CBD. Probably one of the best locations to stay in. We had a room on the 3rd storey overlooking the wharf. The view was fabulous. Place was clean and... More

Discovered this venue by chance and we were attracted by the busy dining room. The staff were friendly and attentive. Meals were a good size, well presented and delicious.. Good selection of wines by the glass.

We stayed here two nights while in Tazzy in Feb 2012. One before going to the countryside for hiking and another after our expedition. It is a comfortable place but a bit spartan. Bathrooms are newer and quite spacious. Some rooms are a bit tight and could use some modernization. Avoid the 3rd floor if you can unless you don't... More
