Stayed here on our recent trip to Pt Arthur. Great room, beautiful restoration, period furnished. Be aware of a resident ghostly night watchman who does a door check around 8:30pm each night. Officer's quarters converted to charming b&b accommodation. Magnificent setting overlooking beautiful Norfolk Bay, approx 15mins from Port Arthur. Magnificently restored late convict era built buildings. Functional kitchenette, lovely wood fire, decanter of port provided, and very snuggly bed. All in a setting steeped with amazing history. Marvellous.

This is a first class example of colonial accommodation. The setting is wonderful, overlooking Norfolk Bay. We stayed in the "Workshop" originally a convict factory fully restored to a luxury cottage. Had a lovely stay in one of the cottages in June - would have loved to have stayed longer to enjoy the serenity and history. Cottage was great. Open fireplace was the highlight and just knowing we were staying somewhere so carefully restored was a treat. Property has it's own museum on site and a visit there is a must.... More
