This so called modern spa suite is in my opinion a pretty basic room, well over priced and you need a tertiary education to operate the blinds lights and curtains.... Level 4 view nice and boats not loud, good area but seedy pokies bar downstairs!

Trendy design without function. NO AIRCONDITIONING! Auto bathroom lights go out while you are in the shower! Only one case stand and nowhere else to put one! Tiny telly. Thought we would have to choose between musty period piece B&B's and sticky carpet motels when we needed to spend a night in Devonport. Spacious room with up to date with modern bathroom and facilities. Spent 1 night for as business trip and was pleasantly surprised. Restaurant had a good range and price for meals. Will definitely stay at this establishment again,

Stayed at Quality Hotel Gateway in early Feb 2012 after overnoghting on the Spirit of Tasmania. First impression: refurbished! Everything looked new and spotless. Excellent amenities. Spacious room with modern bathroom. Excellent dining and room service options. Across the road from the Devonport Corporate Centre - very convenient for business travellers. The only criticism I have is of the noise of banging doors at night on the bottom floor. However, this will not stop me from returning as the service and amenities were fantastic.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Our unit had been totally refurbished and contained a very modern bathroom with large shower. The breakfasts are good but a bit overpriced. The staff were very helpful. We were impressed that the hotel offered washers & dryers for guest use. Very thoughtful!

The fourth floor is amazing, great views, (make sure you ask for a harbour view) relaxing spa, push buttons for everything. We have stayed in hotels all around the world but were very impressed with the whole room. Will definitely come back. Also had a very nice meal in the restaurant.
