Knowing that the hotel faced Hindley St (Adelaide's backpacker precinct), we were somewhat wary of putting up our elderly relatives at the Breakfree on Hindley, but it was the Christmas period and not much is available in Adelaide to house 8 people at short notice without costing an arm & a leg (we booked 2 apartments, 4 single beds in... more

I've stayed in 3 separate rooms over the last 2 months at Breakfree on Hindley so I feel very qualified to write this review. Firstly, let me say that you should answer these 2 questions before you stay here: 1. Can you get a great price for the room (say on a 'last minute'type website)? 2. Are you okay with... more

The rooms had everything - seperate kitchen and seating area. Also washing machine and dryer in bathroom. Shower a bit small but adequate. Patio area (other higher rooms had balcony). Hotel in quite a good location although we would probably have preferred to be nearer the shopping area. But it wasn't noisy at all and my husband and I walked... more

The room says family and friends, but there certainly is no room to swing a cat. The double bedroom you can't even close the door, so you get to hear the joyous sounds of the quite old refrigerator burbling away all night. The bathroom mirror is the right hight for a midget but if you are over 5" tall don't... more

I booked to stay at this hotel whilst in Adelaide on business. It was reasonably priced, the rooms looked bright and modern and it was ideal in terms of location. What a mistake! The rooms were old and outdated, nothing like in the photos. Shortly after I arrived I was appalled to find that there was no hot water. After... more

I paid with all fees $220 for two nights. Don't believe the pictures located on their website. The rooms are not bright, colourful and tastefully decorated. Well mine wasn't anyway. The rooms are dated and poorly decorated. I felt a little let down when I walked in the room. Not that it would have prevented me from saying there for... more

We stayed here as a short term thing whilst we house hunted in Adelaide. We arrived after a looooong flight at 9am and was told our apartment wouldnt be ready until 2pm. The desk did not offer any alternative at all. Once we checked in at 2pm we went to our studio apartment we had. Pretty small and basic but... more

It might seem like a given on Adelaide's busiest street, but this property features SINGLE glazed windows, which means that the location - next to Adelaide's bar strip - is extremely NOISY at night. We were unable to sleep and left at 6am to find somewhere else. Also, there is no lift from the carpark to the "premier" rooms -... more

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights - a Thursday and Friday. The hotel is in a seedy part of town, and the suites (we had a 2 bedroom) are small and pretty dismal looking, but at least it was quite clean. The first night was OK, but the second night, there was so much partying in the... more
