Daydream Island is beautiful! There is a lovely big pool with lots of different areas and a swim up bar. The living reef on the resort grounds is amazing, with plenty on fish, coral, sharks and rays to look at. Staff are extremely friendly, happy and helpful. However, food and beverage prices are extortionate. Think $5-$6 AUD for a 600ml... More

Our family of 3, including one 14 year old, stayed in January 2012 and generally enjoyed our time and consider our stay reasonable value, although we purchased at a discounted special price. Note that stingers make ocean swimming impossible from October to April. Pros and cons: Pool: great big pool with lots of different areas, including toddler pool, good swim... More

Had lunch here and was told 3 times by wait staff that the fish of day was snapper, which it didnt taste like. The excuse was that it was snap frozen and brought in from the main land, which I can understand. Anyway it was terrible, turns out that the fish was actually imported basa, which was confessed to us later. The Thai beef... More

As a first time holiday location a few years back, I was surprised at how amazing Daydream Island resort and spa was. So much so that I suggested it to everyone as a must do over travelling to overseas locations for sun and fun. However, the second time around I am saddened to say I cannot say the same. Firstly,... Firstly - I could have been back in the 80's with the décor and staff uniforms. Half the island was closed when we were there. Apparently the 24th of January is the low season (middle of Australia summer?!?!) and so practically 90% of the island and it's restaurants were closed. This became very annoying at dinner time as there was... More

We have been to Daydream a number of times and enjoy it as a weekend getaway. Probably the best island resort in the Whitsunday's for the price. Very good day spa and heaps of attractions to keep everyone busy. Rooms are clean and comfortable, good selection of dining options. The only downside is that family activities like mini golf, tennis... More

Beware of the story the website portrays there is not a selection of reastaraunts to choose from there are alternating nights that range from terrible buffet food that the health department should investigate to reasonable alacarte however you only get alacarte on two of three nights of a 7 day stay Staff try really hard and are wonderful, my hat... We went to Daydream Island with our baby today for a family day trip. We were impressed with the scenery and the relaxed atmosphere and friendly greeting on arrival. We could hear the visitor day area long before we could see it. There was really loud rap music playing which in a nightclub would have been good but wasn't conducive... More

Dear Guest Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience at Daydream Island Resort and Spa. I must apologies for the selection and content of the music played on this occasion. Inappropriately and unauthorised, a staff member selected an alternate music channel to that approved by management. As you indicate such music does not match the beautiful surroundings or the... It is a really small island but you actually can do a lot. You have 3 options for dinner all of them are pricie.i would go to hamiltion island( just next door) any time. The resort itself is nice, clean and the staff friendly. The rooms and the building could need a update. But if you after a couple days... More

Our stay at Daydream Island Resort & Spa was a fun relaxed family holiday, we did lots of day trips on different boats throughout the Whitsundays and it was a great base. Had we stayed on the island the whole time we would have participated in more of the resort activities, these were well run and a lot of fun.... More
