Ok, the room was clean, but it had just a tiny window and so it was very dark during the day in the room. You had to pass the common area with tv and kitchen to go to the showers which I found a bit strange. (especially when you come out of the shower in front of the whole hostel.)... More

I booked the twin room and we were given the family room for 4. The room was tired but luckily we had a private bathroom, fridge and TV. None of the rooms have Air-con ( fan only ) at this hostel and you have to be aware that it can be very difficult to sleep in the hot weather. 30mins... More

Excellent YHA Hostel. They had a dog in reception which was warming too! Very posh location on the marina, far out fromt he city centre but free shuttle bus there and back! beach is across the road - fantastic!! This was my very first experience of a hostel,i had a great time. The rooms were basic but what more do you want! The staff were friendly and helpful and the little bus is always about when you need it,the pub is a stones throw away and the staff there were cool too! I wish i was there right now! More

The Surfers Paradise YHA is a bit out of the main area of Sufers but this is a good thing. Its over some shops in a small shopping centre/marina on the road to Sea World.
