We were lucky enough to grab an excellent special with this hotel and were upgraded to ocean view, so for us it presented exceptional value. This is an older hotel that has had a nice soft refurbishment. Staff were lovely, especially one gentleman at reception. What I loved about this hotel was the room size. Stayed 7 night in ocean view room from 13th Oct to 20th. Friendly staff, excellent bed and pillows, short walk to Cavill Avenue. Very clean and any requests attended to immediately. We will definitely be going back next year. more

Booked last minute , without checking any reviews and was appalled at the standards.Filthy ,mouldy ,dusky pink bath with shower on top, toilet had stains on it ( really disgusting ). Small equally dirty pool & jacuzie was digged out ( unsafe )Totally ruined our wknd @ GC. Even 3satr hotel next door looked much better. more

After a long & tiring week we finally arrived at The Gold Coast International Hotel - not knowing what to expect and from previous hotel's experiences we entered with a little trepidation. My wife and I spent the last 3 nights (2/10- 4/10) of our honeymoon at the GCI in room 1910 and the overall experience was fantastic. The was a small mix up when we checked in, but the staff behind the counter were absolutly fantastic in fixing the problem. Reading other peoples reviews stating the bathrooms are dated and old.... more

Got a great deal and we were upgraded also (to a suite) so very impressed! Check in and porters were excellent!! Unfortunately, they were let down by some other staff, particularly at the lobby bar. The young girl there looked bored and was quite abrupt and rude. Also the service at their teppenyaki restaurant was very slack (considering the prices).... more

My boyfriend and I stayed in the executive spa suite and we didnt want to leave!! The spa is easily big enough for 2 people (even someone over 6 foot tall!). The bed is huge and oh so comfy. As are the pillows you can choose off a menu! The pool is fantastic as is the pool bar. Great cocktails!... more
