Shantara was a great holiday accomodation in a good location in Port Douglas. Its less than 5 minutes walk to both the main street (Macrossan), and to the beach. We spent 5 very relaxing days at Shantar and selected Shantara based on the reviews on TripAdvisor. We booked directly as this provided the best deal and an opportunity to discuss our exact requirements. We stayed at Shantara for 3 nights on the end of a 3 week visit to Australia, mainly to do the Great Barrier Reef thing. We wish we could have stayed longer.
