The staff are very friendly when checking in, but it's all downhill from there. Stayed in a private room with ensuite with my fiancé may 2013. We only lasted one night. The room smelled terrible and there was bugs all over the shower. I stayed in many hostels while backpacking through Europe. This is by far the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. One should definitely avoid if they are squeamish about bugs.

I would not recommend this place. When we arrived, we had to change rooms two times. Once because the room didn't have enough available beds, and the other room was infested with bugs. Such a great location and nicest staff. Thanks to all the gang for having me. One of the cleanest and bet hostels in Australia and the best in Brisbane for sure! Right next to a great pub/ nightclub that was going off when I was there always some fun stuff happening and the Bunk guys got everyone involved. Cheers Legends
