I've stayed here several times while my husband was in the Brisbane Private Hospital, now I choose to stay here when visiting Brisbane for shopping. The rooms are clean and quite comfortable, the staff friendly and the restaurant and room service is adequate and won't blow the budget. The free Spring Hill loop bus stops at the front door and... The directions from their website proved accurate but as others note there will be stairs! An unassuming building fitted with slightly old fashion but clean & maintained furnishings it provided a pleasant stay. The room comfortable & perhaps small but perfect for sleeping & resting. The bathroom large though difficult to find a warm temperature (didn't complain so maybe our... More

Location is close to CBD. Room I had was clean but very small. Restaurant downstairs was ok. Staff friendly. For the price I paid I would not stay again unless cheaper price. More

While the building is old and the rooms are small, it is well maintained with quality furnishings. The restaurant/bar has simple food prepared well with generous servings. There is limited free parking and wifi, which makes up for some of the shortcomings of the building. It is within walking distance of the city, which is very convenient. More

We have stayed at this property three times now. We have found everything nice and clean and lovely food at the resturant down stairs. Always nice people at reception. Good having the internet available too. More

In a city that is very pricey it was wonderful to find a well priced hotel. This hotel has very friendly staff. It is an old building and each room has a little balcony. Aircon in rooms only. Free WiFi is a big plus. Close to city but a steep walk back. Consider looking for a bus service back -... More

Good location as only short walk to the city centre. Building is rather dated and reception is small and basic. Staff very friendly. No lifts so if you have heavy bags request early for a room on the lower floors. I stayed on the 4th floor which was 5 short flights of stairs but I only had a cabin bag... More

I stayed here for the Bledisloe Cup in late Aug as it was the only place I could get under $500 for that night. It is old and tired. The "reception" is behind a screen which is somewhat disconcerting. I only stayed here out of necessity and will not be going back. Ever. More

Stayed for 9 nights and would return. The staff are friendly and very helpful, a pleasant change to some of the larger places. They genuinely want to make the stay as comfortable as possible, happy to help with any query. Brekkie included in the price and free wifi a big plus. As with other reviews the rooms are small, the... More
