My wife and I stayed in a double room at the very back of the property in April 2012. The room was beautiful, clean and very comfy! Though the walls area a little thin... The shared bathroom was clean and pleasant, as was the kitchen and common area. In fact the kitchen/dining area was so nice I actually got off... More

Absolutely love this hostel!!! It has everything - location, small 4 bed dorms, doubles, lovely quiet swimming pool, free tea and coffee and a really friendly atmosphere. Staff here are always great and it tends to attract friendly back packers and sometimes families in the family rooms. The kitchen is small but there is rarely a rush so I quite... More

Just back from 4 nights at Aussie Way. Lovely homely atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the guy running it who knows everyone's name and seems to really love what he does. I was in a 4-bed girls' dorm which was clean with nice bedding and our own fridge. We had air con but it wasn't... More

Myself and 3 other friends were in Brisbane for 3 nights. Brisbane hotels are expensive and knowing that we will spend most of our time outside, we don't want to splurge on hotels. Aussieway is located on Cricket Street and is about 5 - 7 minutes walk from Roma Street Station. We took the train from GC to Brisbane (Roma... More

The hostel itself consits of 2 buildings: one for dorms and singles and one for the doubles /twins. It is no secret that the building in the back is much nicer. So if you book a double or a twin you are really in the advantage to have a quite nicely decorated place. Whereas the front builing offers very simple... More

I stayed here for three night over new year. It's a good hostel, an old house with some ghost character, my dorm was a good size with a good proper mattress which was nice after some I'd stayed on. The staff were very friendly and helpfull and i met a nice mix of people there. It's close to roma street... More

We stayed here in a private double room for 1 week when we arrived in Australia. Having looked at other hostels nearby throughout the course of that week Aussie Way is perfect for what we were after - chilled out, small, low key. We had a fridge in our room and the kitchen/toilet/communal area was shared between the 4 private... More

nice enough place. me and two other girls stayed here for a weekend good points - nice pool, heritage house, clean nice outdoor area, close to city, reception guy helpful and carried our luggage, free chilled purified water, and coffee. bad points, communal areas too small, section closed off, small kitchen, not enough toielts or showers, too many anal rules... I originally booked a double room for two nights as I was unsure of how long I would be staying in Brisbane. On arrival we were met by the owener who was very friendly and even offered to carry our bags. The double and twin rooms are situated away from the main building where the dorms are and the buildings... More

The staff was helpfull and very friendly. Our room was clean and we had our own fridge in the room. The hostel is located close to the centre (walkingdistance). All in all we've had a pleasant stay and would recommend it, More
