We stayed here 2 nights. The first night was incluede as part of a package. Room was fine & comfortable, and as we wewre out most of the time was ok. We had also decided to stay an extra night (why go all the way to Uluru and only stay one night??) and chose to splash out on a rock... more

We' ve had two stays at the Desert Gardens Hotel, the first time ten years ago and then in June last year. It is near the entrance to the whole resort and is built as a low-rise hotel, which blends in very well to the surrounding area. The deluxe rooms are lovely, very spacious, big comfortable beds (specify if you... more

Big resort in the desert, you will need the map, which is to be found on the net easily!. Hotel is very clean, has very beautiful garden, nice pool but cold water (not heated), in july not possible to take any bath, because the night are very cold till 10°C. Rooms are spacious, nice, but not cheap. Resort is modern.... more

We stayed at the Desert Gardens Hotel for two nights in July. Based on the reviews, we didn't expect very much, but were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are nice and clean and the complimentary washer and dryer was a very nice touch. more

Having spent our first night at Ayers Rock Resort in the awful Outback Pioneer, it was a pleasure to move to this hotel. This was booked as part of the tour we did (Outback was not) and billed as a first class hotel. It is certainly not first class but the room we had was clean, well decorated, comfortable temperature... more

There are only 4 hotels in the Ayers Rock region and they are all owned by the same company and are all in the same complex. The upside is that you can take the free shuttle to all the hotels to find the restaurant that best suits you. The downside is there is no competition so there are many problems.... more

This hotel is located at the entrance (almost) of the Uluru Park. Rooms are nice and beds comfortable. Staff is OK but there is no breakfast directly in the hotel. In fact it's a complex with some restaurants so that you have to choose where you want to eat. Breakfast is not included. Ideal to visit Uluru at the sunset... more

I stayed in this hotel long time ago with my mother, it was March 2003. We stayed in a deluxe room on the 2nd floor. The room and the bathroom were large and from the balcony, we could see the Ayers Rock. It was amazing to us! It was quite expensive, Actually all hotels in the region were very expensive.... more

On deciding to book a package tour of Ayers Rock and Kings Canyon with AAT Kings, we had a choice of accommodation. After a bit of research including reading TA reviews, we decided on Desert Gardens as we weren't prepared to pay the extra for Sails and wanted a bit better than the budget accommodation. Because we had done our... more

This building of this hotel looks a bit run down from the outside, but the inside is actually good enough. It's clean, spacious and has enough room amenities. Location is good and close (walking distance) to the city centre for shops and dining options. Value for money? It's quite expensive for the type of room that you get but we... more
