In the main, this was a pleasant experience, nice clean well equipped accommodation was a welcome surprise at the end of a long journey. The check in was fine, once we figured out that we checked in at the hotel..which was poorly identified, or signposted. the resort had great facilities, laundry, pool etc; and the cleaning staff were good. supermarket... We enjoyed the size of the apartment and the fact that it was split over three floors as it gave a degree of separation for our family group (3 separate couples). The kitchen was great and gave us another option for evening meals, and it was useful that we could use the facilities in the other parts of the resort,... More

Dear Keywee2000, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The Emu Walk Apartments are very versatile and while great for families, are a convenient choice for groups of couples as you’ve proven. I have brought your Housekeeping concerns to the attention of the appropriate staff. I do hope we will once again have the chance to welcome... More

Some previous reviews were very helpful. Check in at Dessert Sands Hotel, Porters were great getting all out luggage to and from our apartment. Facilities in the resort made for a fun family holiday. Pools and activities for kids in-between walks in the national park. Ate at the cook your own BBQ, kids loved it. Supermarket was well priced considering... More

After reading some reviews before our trip I was concerned about this accommodation. Imagine my surprise when I found it to be a lovely 2 bedroom, multi-level unit that was clean, spacious and looking so fresh. The kitchen facilities were great and we ate in a few times. The grocery store was close by and the prices were also surprisingly... More

All accommodation in Uluru is overpriced. The room here was spacious do ghat was a plus and they did find us a new room when we complained that our original one smelled of rotten fish. Very small bathroom for the size of the apt. Ok place to stay until I woke up in a bed full of tiny ants. That... More

The 2 bedroom apt was just ok, a small duplex with dated, worn furniture. Though it's outrageously expensive, the hotels there are too (location, location, location) and this is a good choice if you would otherwise need 2 rooms at one of their hotels. Having a full kitchen also allows you to avoid the need to go out to eat... More

We stayed at Emu Walk Apartments in November 2011. They are spacious and reasonably comfortable although the bedrooms are no great size for two adults. The lounge area was large and airy but it would be preferable if there had been en suite facilities in at least one of the two bedrooms. Four adults rushing to be ready for sunrise... More

The whole of Yulara can be expensive. Emu Walk Apartments have cooking facilities which makes the whole trip much more affordable. If driving there, suggest buying supplies at Alice Springs. There is a supermarket at the resort, and OK pricing. Being able to self cater for breakfast and lunch makes the whole journey to Uluru a lot cheaper than if... More

Dear DesertMob, Thank you for your post. I am delighted you were able enjoy your Ayers Rock holiday experience and save money thanks to our self-contained accommodation options. Emu Walk Apartments certainly offers affordability and is a great option if you are looking for an extended stay. Yulara is expensive due to our isolation. The majority of our freight is... More

We chose the Emu Walk apartments over the hotels or camping at Yulara resort for our family stay in September 2011. The reception area was closed for renovation, and there was no obvious signage directing customers to the Desert Sands Hotel reception 50-100m away. The rooms were clean and reasonably maintained, but very dated decor and furniture. Kitchen was well... More

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 adults 2 children. Location was good very close to the shops supermarket but still very quiet. It was good to be able to make breakfast and the iga supermarket had a good selection of food and reasonably priced. Apartment was big, but too big for the amount of furniture. Split level and...
