This is a well located Hotel/Motel in the middle of Alice CBD with secure parking. It also has its' own licensed hotel (Uncles) and restaurant (Stumps). It is vey convenient to everything in Alice Springs including restuarants, supermarket, speciality shops and tour resellers. I had a awesome time at the diplomat. It feels like youre sleeping in a hotel but you got the price as a backpacker. The pool is really nice, and the location is perfect. The staff is really friendlly and always helping you.

The Diplomat is your run of the mill motel. The rooms were clean and staff were friendly. We had a room and breakfast package which was great value for a family of four. We are well travelled and chose this hotel for price and location. Booked over the phone and agreed on a price only to find out on check in that they have a fee for credit cards which I wasnt told about and is not on website. I stayed in November with my Mum driving through to Darwin and the room was terrible.
