Overnight stay on the way home from a business trip. Right in the heart of downtown and across from the Capitol Theatre - great location to see a show or go to a restaurant or two. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is somewhat run down and old - but the price is right. recommended :) more

As others have mentioned the Metro Center hotel is really well positioned for much of the city. Hyde Park is a couple of blocks away, Darling Harbor maybe ten minutes by foot, but this is also on the edge of Chinatown and right in the middle of the backpacker scene. The staff was very helpful here. They gave us good recommendations, gave us a fan, and were helpful with directions. We weren't here much because we were out on the town mostly. The room was comfortable and conveniently located. more

We found the room with 2 double beds cramped and the lighting was not convenient. Breakfast provided was functional - same menu every day. Did not find the staff very pleasant (except for an Australian lady and another man). more
