Allowed to check in early on arrival from Airport, much appreciated, great start to holiday but from there on, things went downhill. View from room of a big black hoarding and we were on 10th Floor. The Mercure is solid - it has a good central location (several buses stop in front, as well as the city's light rail) that makes it easy to get to all the major sites.
