5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 June 2013 NEW

We stayed here in May and lucked out with gorgeous weather in Sydney. This hotel is situated a little over a block away from Circular Quay, where the ferries depart. Of course, that makes it only a stones throw away from the Opera House as well. Our experiences in the hotel were overwhelmingly positive. The staff was helpful - which... More

I decided to book a treat for my mum after a day shopping in Sydney and was deciding on options around Circular Quay rather than sticking in the city and going to the QVB tea rooms. The high coffee at the Intercontinental has been the best value, quality and serviced high tea I have come across in a very long... More

Nice hotel, decent price, lovely dining area and amazing buffet but had some slow service. Took over an hour to get our bags to the room after i complained as our baby was crying for her milk which was in... One of the bags. Car was taken offsite so i had to continuously ask the attendants to get items from... More

I often stayed at the Intercontinental whenever I travel to Sydney. The rooms are great - not super modern but very comfortable. The staff was friendly. The location was simply great - in fact one of my favorite activities while in Sydney was jogging from the Intercontinental around the Opera House, across the Harbor Bridge and back. There's so much... More

They stuff up your booking every time and tell you it's your fault. The staff are rude and unhelpful. The service is poor. The facilities are ok. It is very bad value for money. Café Opera is overrated. The High Tea is ordinary. AVOID this HOTEL. TRY the STAMFORD instead. It is next door. I am very disappointed. I gave... More

This is my favourite hotel to stay in in Sydney. The rooms that overlook The Conservatorium of Music and Botanical Gardens have the most amazing view. The lobby area is the old post office and is full of charm. If your budget allows go for a club room. You won't be disappointed

The Intercon. is coveniently located to Circular Quay, The Rocks, The City and Oxford Street - which makes dining out, shopping and sightseeing very easy. I have stayed here many times over the years and it remains an elegant hotel that has a really good feel to it. My most recent stay was over-night for business in a city-view room... More

A hotel with beautifully restored heritage arcitecture. Unfortunately the beauty of the heritage charm does not translate into the rooms as they are quite small and dated. the bathrooms are tired and far from 5 star. Luckily I was upgraded to a room with harbour and opera house view which was the saving grace for the room. Dining menu is... More

We stayed here for 6 nights in a lovely corner suite with great views of both the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. The staff were fantastic in particular with my little girl who turned 4 on our last day at the hotel. They were happy to arrange balloons and banners for her as well as cake and presents. Fantastic... More

Very much worth the money. We should have stayed in the club level seeing that included free breakfast and much more perks. The only bad side was having to pay for internet, As much as the room cost you would think it would be free. Staff was helpful and hotel was gorgeous.
