We stayed at Barrenjoey House for a friend's wedding in October 2011. The rooms are small and above a great restaurant. We had a simple lunch at the restaurant which was really relaxing. Our room didn't have an ensuite but the bathrooms were across the hall. I wouldn't recommend the hotel if you want a romantic weekend away as it... More

Whilst vacationing in Palm Beach I stayed a night at Barrenjoey House. Upon check-out the next morning I accidentally left the bag containing my jewelry in the room. After realizing I had left it in my room I went and retrieved it later that day. The office clerk, SARAH [--] said their male cleaner had given it to her earlier... More

This was a birthday surprise from my wife. We live in Umina Beach so the trip from Ettalong is very pleasant by ferry, 30 mins, Barrenjoey House is opposite the wharf. we have eaten here before and have always been pleased. The 1 night stay included, bed, a 3 course meal, and a continental style breakfast, toast/cereal etc. At $150.00... More

Difficult to beat this location for views and access to local amenities, the staff were generally friendly and helpful. The bed and bedding was clean and fresh unfortunately the rest of he room was not, it was very dusty in the cupboards and the floor was dirty enough that flip flops had to be worn. In addition the fly screen... More

We desperately needed a 1 night escape & we regularly head away for a night to trial regional restaurants & café’s. But we never thought one of the best accom/dining packages would be in the heart of Sydney’s affluent Palm Beach. We called Barrenjoey House on a Sunday morning to find Sun-Thurs they offer 1 night stays from $220pn, but... More

I recently stayed at Barrenjoey House with my partner, the rooms are clean and quaint, reminiscent of a old style beach house. Breakfast is included, a light self serve continental breakfast (the restaurant is only open for lunch and dinner). The accommodation suits couple and offered is a package that includes a 3 course a la carte meal for 2... More

Thought it would be a nice idea to stay at B.H. for a family wedding taking place on the Friday afternoon/evening in Palm Beach. First shock was being shown to a tatty little room adjacent to the rest of the rooms and advised that this was the "breakfast area" with a couple of chairs, fridge and a few breakfast type... More

Very dissapointing experience all around! We ate at three o'clock not their busiest period by anyones imagination. My boyfriend ordered the Ocean Trout with anchives and capers, it was flavouless overcooked and came on a bed of marinated peppers which could have come out of a supermarket jar. I had the half chicken with mascapone cheese, pinenuts and sultans. To... More

We arrived in Palm Beach on a couple of motorcycles not knowing if there was accommodation in the area. Palm Beach is an isthmus 32 kms north of Sydneys Circular Quay. We found this guesthouse by chance looking for a nearby restaurant. What a find. Not only was the accommodation first class, but the restaurant on the ground floor was... More
