We have stayed often , it's central enough because you can get on the train - look for the weekend deals, great stuff. Outdoor pool in the summer and outdoor spa for other seasons. Plenty of grass for running around for the kids. If you have your bike go fo the ride around the basin, if not, the bar is... More

Stayed at the Waipuna Hotel for 1 night. On first entering the room it was very hot as it was a hot day out a quick call to reception on how to operate the airconditioning and all was sorted. We got abit of a view of Panmure basin and was quite nice most of the view was of the carpark... More

For spouse and self alone, the thought of preparing Christmas dinner and the more horrifying thought of washing utensils afterwards made our decision easy. You could call it laziness, but what the hell?. Scouring the web for Christmas dinner led us to Waipuna - only a 15-minute drive from home. We thought also of meeting up with the Police booze... I stayed at the Waipuna Hotel for two nights in December 2011. I was in town for work and the Waipuna was the closest and also came highly recommended from my client. Room was perfect for the business traveller; great open plan studio room with shower over bath. Room was clean and could not hear noise from outside or neighbouring... More

I stayed in room 312, which was a large room with two queen sized beds in. The room was very well serviced and everything as clean and tidy with air conditioning. The bed was a bit soft but I'm being picky. The buffet meal in the restaurant was very good but a bit pricey at $45 per person. Great place... More

Normally stay at Novotel Ellerslie but they upset us with a booking so decided to try somewhere new. Found the Waipuna a great place. Good rooms with Lagoon views. Best water pressure in the shower in any hotel we have stayed in and water pressure is vital to me. More

Selected by the company as one of the only venues big enough to hold our group the Waipuna turned out to be great, with the exception of the slow and clunky elevators. Room was a little dated but very enjoyable. The bathroom did make up for the bland decor in the rest of the unit. Catering was of a good... More

We stayed for 2 nights and the rooms were comfortable and clean but the mini-bar in the small fridge was too over-stocked and over-priced, and ther was no room for anything else, the conference we went to was a disappointment as the food and the coffee was cold or had run out. More

Roughly halfway between the city and the airport, the location of this hotel was appealing for me. The room I had was recently refurbished and very comfortable. I had expected a fairly bland place being a conference centre but was really surprised. The rooms are spacious with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was of a size and well appointed.... More
