“great by the lake”

this is the 2nd time we have stayed as a family (2 boys under 4) and all was perfect as per the previous occassion. apart from having all the service etc spot on, we like it as you can walk down to the lake and take the boys to the park, so much better than a hotel. More

Set amongst lush almost tropical surroundings just five minutes drive from the NGA and Palirament this was a perfect location. We spent 2 nights @ this quiet B&B located in a residential neighborhood. Our room was huge on the ground floor had a private entrance and our own deck where we enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening while listening to the birds. This is a very pretty location, quiet and the accommodation is large, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Couple all this with hosts Luba and Chris, why would you stay anywhere else. We had a couple of days here and would definitely return. Highly recommended. More

After numerous disappointments from staying in Canberra hotels we spent three nights at Practically Lakeside in November. The location is close to a bus stop and within walking distance of the Yarralumla shopping centre. The very quiet self-contained accommodation features a king-size bed. Like all the earlier reviewers, we found Luba & Chris to be the most hospitable & welcoming hosts. The accommodation is very comfortable. Practically Lakeside is conveniently located & extremely peaceful. Shops & restaurants are just a pleasant stroll away. A free internet connection is provided & bicycles are available for the use of guests. Highly recommended. More
