We stayed at the Groes Inn over a weekend as we had a wedding to attend at the nearby Caer Rhun Hall. The two days we spent there were beautiful, spent in good company in fantastic surroundings. The view from our room was gorgeous, and the room itself was well appointed with everything we needed. The shower was like getting... More

We visited this hotel for evening meal last week because it is one of the few places advertised as dog friendly. It certainly was, we felt very comfortable eating in the bar area with our dog and were made to feel very welcome. The staff were excellent and could not be faulted, if only I could say the same for... More

The Grows Inn is a beautiful countryside pub that offers excellent food and accommodation. We stayed at the Groes Inn over Easter and enjoyed the offer that includes B&B plus a 25GBP allowance per night per person to spend on food at the pub. It was a little pricey but well worth it after a whole day of trekking. The... More

We have just returned from our 5th / 6th visit to the Groes. I have to say we were sadly let down this time. You cannot remove the view - it is fantastic if you have a room at the rear overlooking the fields. The room we had was ground floor with a patio. The room was 'tired'! Very bad... More

We ate here last night, we sat in the restaurant thinking we would get better service. But we didn't it was very hit and miss. We got showed to our table and no sooner had we sat down our starters were on the table. Same with the mains, it all seemed very rushed. I had a duck main course and... More

2nd stay within 2 months on the special break offer to include dinner bed and breakfast. On both occasions we had the same room which looked out onto the rear of the inn with stunning views and lovely Welsh Mountain sheep! Room very spacious and lovely large bed, Molton Brown toiletries to enjoy too. Food very very good, breakfasts served... More

Fantastic location for touring the surrounding stunning scenery of North Wales and wonderful views front and back of the Inn. Had a deluxe double with a balcony and first impressions were great - fairly contemporary room - extra wide double bed - very comfortable indeed, bottled water also good plus Molton Brown toiletries added extra value to the bathroom. All... More

My husband and I had a two night stay at this charming hotel near Conway. The room we had appeared to be in the old stable block, very spacious, tastefully decorated with a large queen size bed. Spotlessly clean, lovely toiletries and linen. The view from our room faced out onto the road, but the views beyond were of the... More

Lets start with the positives - Lovely large bedroom with breathtaking views, patio & seating - and a very very big bed! Quaint decor that was a little tired in places, but spotlessly clean. Now the negatives. The food - very very average. The 'grilled' prawn starter I had, I'm sure had never been near a grill - just a... More

The Groes Inn was a wonderful place to stay. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the rooms immaculately clean with lovely views out the back of sheep in the fields and the mountains. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here if travelling this way again. More
