On my return from Safari I was booked into the Little Scotia. I had pre-paid my 3 night stay and arrived late which the guest house was aware of. When I arrived I was greeted by a very nice front desk gentleman named Mark. Mark checked me in and told me about the times for breakfast and took me to... More

I was part of a group that stayed at Little Scotia during a five day volunteer project. We had no troubles at all, and every need was addressed immediately. That is a tall order for a large group. The breakfasts are tasty and the grounds are quiet plus comfortable for hanging out. The front desk staff are extremely knowledgeable and... More

Don't trust the ratings advertised, this is not a 3-star guest house. The two big hairy dogs are everywhere, in the entrance and in the dining room while you are having breakfast you can see and smell them. They are not shy. Their big toys are all over the place (be careful because you might stumble on them and end... More

We stayed for 2 weeks while doing some teaching at the University of Cape Town and touristing. Room was large, bright, and clean, bathroom small, but adequate. Rooms are spread among several buildings with plenty of interesting outdoor spaces for relaxing/reading/studying. The guest house is very secure and quiet. Staff was very helpful in arranging taxis to tourist destinations, though... More

We booked Little Scotia without much expectations but we were pleasantly surprised with the place. It seemed like a family run guest house but very well managed. The rooms were big, clean and ventilated. Gave a feeling of being in a beach resort! The bathroom was small but nice. There was no fridge in the room, but there were three... More

Little Scotia went out of their way to help with affordable accommodation for our boys going to Rondebosch to play a tennis tournament at WP Tennis Headquarters (it is within walking distance). Little Scotia was prepared to make special arrangements to keep the cost down with a 4-bed room, but when the boys got there, they were pleasantly surprized with... More

Little Scotia is a lovely bed&breakfast place next to university of cape town campus. main advantages are its absolutely calm, beautiful, and secure atmosphere, with loads of privacy from other guests and impeccable rooms. most of all, various shopping opportunities and the unversity campus can be reached on foot. Slight drawbacks are the rather high price and the limited access... More

I have stayed in Little Scotia twice - it is a good place to stay for short visits to UCT but I would not stay here if I was with my family on a holiday. It is a bit impersonal and large for a guesthouse. The rooms are comfortable but can be noisy if your upstairs neighbour decides to walk... More

I stayed here in March as part of a business trip to the University of Cape Town (great location if you are visiting the University). It is a lovely, cozy, friendly and welcoming hotel. Rooms were a little on the small side but they have everything you need. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great, a good... More

This guest house was highly recommended by staff in my office as it is walking distance to both our colleagues at UCT and our office in Rondeboch. The staff was very nice, especially Brian. We were promised (on their website) internet. And while some days there was a minimal signal, it was not enough you could do much with. I... More
